What is the workshop duration?
Workshop duration is 3 hours. During the first half an hour Nestor will introduce himself and the history of PYSANKY as well as walk the class through the main steps of the process. Students will then be able to ask questions and observe Nestor himself perform a live demo of the process. Please arrive on time to streamline the learning experience for everyone.
What is the capacity of an individual workshop?
In order to offer thorough tutoring to each student, workshop size will be capped at 12 people. Wait list will be started once capacity is reached.
Please make sure to RSVP on time to make sure you get a spot for yourself!
Will I be able to take the tools/materials I use at the workshop home with me?
You will be provided with blank eggs, dyes, beeswax and pysanka writing tools, called "kistka" to be used during the workshop.
At the end of the workshop you will have an opportunity to pick up an individual Pysanka kit to take home with you as part of your registration.
Kits will also be available for purchase should you like to share the world of PYSANKY with your friends and family.
Can my child participate?
Your and your child's safety is out TOP PRIORITY!
Workshop students will be working with open flame and hot wax. Due to safety considerations this workshop is open to adults and children OLDER than 7 years old, children who are under 10 years old will be allowed to participate ONLY WITH ADULT SUPERVISION!!
How should I dress?
You will be using high intensity natural pigments to dye the eggs, they will stain your hands and might be difficult to wash off your clothing. Melted wax is another thing to consider. So grab a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, or whatever it is that you don't mind getting a bit dirty. Goal here is to have fun without worrying too much about emeregency dry cleaning!
I would like to host a workshop at my venue! Can we make it happen?
YES!!
